Fed: Airport security more important than missile defence:Latham

ADELAIDE, Jan 14 AAP - Australia's regional airport security was more important than
a missile defence program, Labor leader Mark Latham said today.

Mr Latham said Labor was opposed to Australia's planning for a missile shield system,
dubbed Son of Star Wars.

"We are very, very concerned and opposed to national missile defence particularly in
the context of adding to missile proliferation in our part of the world," he said in Adelaide
